1) Overview
ThaiToMatch is designed to minimize data collection and maximize safety and consent. We collect only the data strictly necessary to operate the Platform.
This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and your choices.
2) Data we collect
Traveler (men) data
- Public profile: nickname, age, country, travel dates, intention text
- Private (internal): real identity fields and travel verification details (e.g., flight info)
- Contact: WhatsApp number (never displayed publicly)
- Technical: basic logs for security (timestamps, actions, anti-abuse)
Ambassador (women) data
- Profile: name, age, city/area, photo
- Verification (optional): document used only to confirm age/identity
- Contact: WhatsApp number (never displayed publicly)
We do not sell personal data. We do not run advertising profiles or “data brokerage”.
3) WhatsApp privacy (critical)
ThaiToMatch is built so that phone numbers are never displayed on the website.
- No phone number appears in HTML or JavaScript
- No user can copy or scrape another user’s number
- Women can grant access temporarily (typically 48 hours) and revoke at any time
When authorized, ThaiToMatch performs a server-side redirection to WhatsApp. The number is never exposed publicly.
4) Why we collect it
- To prevent fake profiles and wasted time (real travel verification)
- To enable safe, consent-based connections
- To protect users against abuse (security logs and moderation)
5) Verification & sensitive documents
Verification is free and optional. In some cases (e.g., age declared under 22), verification may be required before direct interaction for safety reasons.
Women may hide sensitive information on verification documents. We only require: photo, name, and the last 4 digits of the passport number to be visible.
Verification documents are not shared with other users.
6) Data retention
ThaiToMatch is time-limited by design:
- Traveler profiles stay active up to J+38 after arrival in Thailand
- On J+39, traveler profiles and associated personal data are automatically deleted
Limited technical logs may be retained for security and fraud prevention where necessary, then rotated.
7) Sharing & third parties
We do not sell your data.
Payment processing is handled via trusted providers (PayPal, SEPA transfer, Viva). ThaiToMatch does not store full banking data.
WhatsApp communications occur outside the Platform and are governed by WhatsApp’s own policies.
8) Your choices
- You can request profile deletion at any time (subject to verification for safety)
- Women can revoke WhatsApp access at any time
- You can contact us regarding privacy requests via the official contact page
